This website is owned and operated by Dunkirk Humane Society, dba Lakeshore Humane Society (LHS), located at 431 E. Chestnut Street, Dunkirk NY 14048. These Terms set forth are the terms and conditions under which you may use our website and services as offered by us. This website offers visitors information on adoptable pets, events, fundraising campaigns, and other news about our animal rescue activities. By accessing or using the website or our service, you approve that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

Lakeshore Humane Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation registered in the State of New York. It is entirely volunteer staffed and funded by donations and adoption fees. Donations are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.
 

 

Refund/Cancellation Policy

For event tickets (such as a chicken barbecue), you may request a refund prior to the date of the event.
For Remembrance Bricks, you may request a refund before the company we use begins engraving your brick.
For merchandise, you may return the unused item and receive a refund within 30 days of purchase.

Adoption fees are non-refundable, even if the animal is returned to LHS.


Fulfillment/Shipping Policy

Event tickets purchased online are virtual. No paper ticket will be sent to you. Just provide your name at the event.
For Remembrance Bricks, you will be notified when the brick is ready for pickup or to be placed in the ground at the Adoption Center.
For merchandise, we generally do not ship. If special arrangements are made to ship your item, you will be notified of the shipping charge.


Privacy Policy

Essential cookies are automatically used as they are necessary for certain actions to take place on our site. We do not track users' IP address or other personally identifiable information.

Personal data is only collected when a visitor to our website fills out a form. That data is only used for purposes of Lakeshore Humane Society and is never shared or sold to third parties. The names and email addresses of visitors who fill out a form are added to our contact email list in Mailchimp. Every email communication from LHS includes a link to opt out of further emails.
